Finished* outdoor level


This game is set in a small mountain valley town that seems to have nobody around yet strange turrets that seem to attack out of nowhere. Are you going to be able survive and see what is in the forest past the gate keeping you in? In this game you will get both a feel for your surroundings and learn maybe a magic trick or two as well. 

So, this is the outdoor level that has not gotten many dev logs, haha! But this project has been worked on. 

In the time of silence I went in through and added some basic enemies with animations and sound! I'm actually really proud of these turned out. I also added a basic turret which works as intended, I had to move their original locations to make them work properly.  I made the grass look like grass and the trees actually have leaves that look somewhat like leaves. 

The third area has a nice little hidden door now that you can phase through, and the gun actually has a pickup noise that overpowers the background music track which I added in as well. 

The level look is something I could always go back through and work on, this is the same case as my first level. Anyone noticing a pattern here? Anyways if we look past the level's look the code works like a charm. I mean this code is nearly perfect! I'm  more amazed I didn't break anything with the changes I made! 

This may be something that people will find weird, but I purposely went out of my way to make sure you could not be hit by anything in the level. This is why there is no respawn point and no health bar for the player character. I did not want to create a level where you could lose at the moment. This is a design philosophy I will not keep going forward as I learned during this project you have to some sort of failure inside of any level you make. This is a oversight on my part, but will never happen again as long as I work on a project.
